Worst Nightmare buying from ctm

To whom it may concern

Today (10/09/2020) I purchased a really expensive shower door from CTM Clearwater. There was only one door left so we asked to have it.

While the CTM staff were loading it into our van, my partner mentioned his concerns of the safety of the glass. Peter, an employee of the dispatching department assured my partner that the door would be fine and that that’s the way they usually pack it (Against the toilet). My partner even put a pillow between the toilet & the shower door. Peter also mentioned that the shower door wouldn’t break because it is tempered glass.

Please note that the door was not checked by the dispatching employee at CTM.

When we arrived home & my partner asks the guys (professionals) to unload it, the box was making a noise and we immediately knew something was wrong with the glass. They then placed the box flat on the floor & open the box. Which was never opened even by the employees of CTM to check the product.

Long story short, the shower is broken. It was R4000 & had a 3 year warranty. Yet it didn’t last a day.

We called the branch we bought it from & they gave us nothing but horrible service. They didn’t want to listen to anything & constantly insinuated that we broke the glass. We received no help from the branch.

They also said that they would contact the suppliers & than contact us. We are still waiting.

Really disappointed in the service we’ve received from CTM. We need a new door & we not paying again. Especially since it has a warranty & was packed by the staff of CTM.
