Unsatisfactory services by technical department.
I found movement in my patio which coursed the tiles to lift up and decided to replace them. I went to CTM in Brackenfell to see if they have a tile that we would like in this area. We dealt with Delaun which provide us with a service that we thought was very professional and that moved us to also made use of your technical services. He contacted the installation department and they immediately gave an estimation of cost which came to R7500.
The then arranged that Ricardo first visit me to see what needs to be done. I then received a What's App to confirm he will be at my house on the 23/10 at 14h00. At this stage I was very impressed with the way you go about your business.
At 14h10 I received a phone call from Ricardo to say he is on his way and already on the R300. He only arrived at 15h00 with many excuses. On the one hand he tells me they are busy with another job in the estate and on the other he tells me his GPS could not find the estate, that after I have sent them my location.
In this first meeting I told him that I have to make an appointment with a engineer to inspect the surface after they removed the old tiles to advice how and where to install expansion joins so that the same problem won't happen again.
He then sent me a quotation for the amount of R10650.00. When I questioned it, he drops the price to R8650.00 I then excepted the new price although it was higher than the estimate and also higher that another company, but because I wanted to have the CTM guarantee I've decided on the CTM quote.
Ricardo then made contact and requested another meeting, He again said they are working in the estate and he want to see me at about 16h00 on the 25th. He only arrived at 16h40 to assess the job and made final arrangements about the detail. I then sent him an email to confirm everything. The sent me the confirmation and agreed to start work on the 27th to allow me to arrange with the engineer to visit the site at the end of the day for his instructions of how to go ahead. By 13h24 there was still nobody and I had to cancel the engineer. When I phoned Ricardo, he said that I sent him a message not to go ahead with the work. I asked him to send me the proof of such an instruction which he did not do, when I tried to phone him after that his phone was switched off.
I then decided to write them a complaint in a effort to resolve the issue, but they never rep**** so I can only assume that they are used to this problem.
