CTM Paarl will sell you a bad quality product and then continue to rob you.

My mother bought wall tiles and floor tiles for two bathrooms, as well as two basins and two basin cabinets from CTM Paarl. Within a couple of days the one cabinet started to chip after installation. My mom informed CTM Paarl at which point the owner came out to inspect. He insisted the cabinet is too close to the shower and that the chipping was caused by water. There was no proof of that as the water from the shower doesn’t even drip on the cabinet. It was just a bad quality board used to make the thing.

They then told my mother that she can bring in the cabinet. She insisted that she doesn’t want the same cabinet as it is not good quality and the new one will do the same. She is willing to pay more for a better quality one. Today they will only give her R1500 credit for the cabinet and she paid R2700 for the piece of **** they sold her in the firs place. Why sell a cabinet as a bathroom cabinet if its not recommended it come close to water? Bathrooms are ALWAYS steamed.

Dear iLecia,

Thank you for taking the time to share your mother’s experience with CTM Paarl. We are truly sorry to hear about the issues she’s encountered with the bathroom cabinet and the disappointment it has caused.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience and frustration. We understand how upsetting it must be to purchase a product intended for bathroom use, only to have it deteriorate so quickly.

Your feedback regarding the quality of the cabinet and how the matter was handled is deeply concerning. We believe that any product sold as a bathroom fixture should be able to withstand typical bathroom conditions, including steam and occasional moisture. We regret that this expectation was not met in your case.

We will escalate this matter internally to our product and customer service teams for further review. While we understand a credit was offered, we acknowledge your concerns about its adequacy and the principle behind it.

We value your support and would appreciate the opportunity to make things right. Please feel free to share your contact details or reach out to our Customer Care team directly at ***/3
So that we can work towards a fair and satisfactory resolution for your mother.

Kind regards,
 CTM Customer Service
