CTM DISGUSTING SERVICE

CTM DISGUSTING SERVICE AFTER LOOTING/RIOTS Inbox

Jason Minnis <***> Attachments Mon, Jul 19, 10:15 AM (21 hours ago) to service

Good morning or should I say **** morning to you as you did to me,

I walked into your Pietermaritzburg Victoria Road store this morning hoping to fix whatever I've lost due to the riots/looting and receive disgusting service from your employee. As I walk in this individual with attitude points at me from a distance then points at the sanitizer as if he's dealing with an idiot who's unaware of the current pandemic we are facing, nevermind I oblige and overlook thinking I might be overreacting.

I then take a few steps forward into the store and ask for assistance and before I finish saying what I'm trying to, he then raises his voice uttering the words "MORNING" as if I'm ill mannered and his superior to me. I respond "DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU TALKING TO" after which he calms down only because he can see in my eyes how angry I am. I then see his tatooed neck and realize I'm dealing with CTM's gangster employees which you (CTM) employed finding it suitable to place in sales at the front of the store.

While all of this is going on another customer seems offended and looks at me as if I'm on the wrong, clearly this could have escalated to a possible fight on your premises had I not had the sense to hold back and deal with this in a more professional manner - this is what your employee did....YOU----CTM

Only because of how desperate I am to get out and start fixing my business did I make the purchase, had it not been so I swear I would have gone across the road to Tile Africa and even paid double the price for the item I purchased. At this point I've made a resolution to only purchase from CTM if it's the last option and every other place is either closed or out of stock, this experience I will relay to friends and family.

So... these are the feelings I'm left with after a disaster, I'm actually wondering if CTM condonses this sort of behaviour. FYI, this is not my first encounter with this employee which is why I've taken the time to send you an email, I previously visited your store for a washer and other accessories which he was reluctant to help with.

ATTACHED - PROOF OF PURCHASE WITH YOUR EMPLOYEES DETAILS ON IT!

Jason

Dear Jason,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Coincidentally I was on the floor when you came in and observed everything that happened. We have already treated this with the relevance it deserves even before we received your email.

Thank you once again for reaching out to us.

Kind Regards, Victor N****wo. Director, CTM Pietermaritzburg/Newcastle.

Victor,

Im disappointed to hear you observed everything but did not intervene, surely this was the right thing to do rather than leave your customer walking out the door feeling the way I did.

I would like to know what is going to happen to the responsible individual as this is not the first time as I'm at the point of reaching out to your head office including the Ombudsman.

Hi Jason,

I am not privy to what happened between the two of you previously. However what you wrote on your complaint differs from what I observed. Be that as it is, I have addressed the matter as it deserves to be. As regards your desire to go to the Ombudsman, that’s entirely within your rights and up to you. From where we are as CTM PMB, everyone who enters our store will at the barest minimum be expected to sanitise.

Have a good evening further.

Kind Regards, Victor N****wo. Director CTM Pietermaritzburg/Newcastle

Victor,

Now you calling me a ****. It's now come down to what you think you saw and what actually happened. Had you intervened and not just sat back and left the matter as it was, the outcome could have been different. Surely you at your level know that when a customer is unhappy with something it would be in your best interest to assist where possible especially since this was a behaviour issue.

For a director my opinion of you is at its lowest, no wonder your employee doesn't know how to treat customers.

Is it normal practice to point at your customers as they enter, this manner is street behaviour which you find acceptable. Then you overlook his raising his voice at me saying "Morning" while Im speaking - this is not acceptable Victor!!

My focus now moves from your employee to you and I'm looking at you, who clearly sees no problem with me feeling disappointed in your customer service?

I'm now starting to wonder if your conclusion on the matter is now racially motivated as there's clearly an issue here which you refuse to address and how I feel about it isn't a concern of yours.
