CTM Alberton - Sub grade tiles - Dissappointed client.

Sadly a shocking experience after having dealt with them for more than 15 years. During the past 2 years we have made bulk purchases of the exact same tile for renovations. We recently ordered a further ten boxes as we were short, only to find that a different shade of the tile had been supp****. Upon contacting CTM we were advised that we had 'clearly been informed that the tile was a sub-grade', yet we accepted same and proceeded with the order. Seriously?? We had never been informed of any such thing, and would never use a sub-grade tile in such an expensive renovation. Furthermore in the last 40 odd boxes, we never had one single different shade of this tile. Had we initially been informed of this, there is NO WAY that we would have selected this tile. We are spending over R200k on renovations, so it makes absolutely no sense. Go figure!! Upon challenging the allegation that we were informed of this by CTM's sales lady, she informed her manager that she had indeed explained that this was a sub-grade tile to us and we understood same. *******!! This is now challenging my integrity, and simply calling me a ****, and I take exception to anything along these lines. I repeat, I would never have chosen a sub-grade tile for this huge and expensive renovation - had I initially been informed of same. Besides now having to redo the walls with a different tile at an additional expense, I have also incurred costs for glue, bonding liquid, spaces and labour for the tilers. CTM obviously accept no responsibility - typical! Maybe CTM managers should relook at how they label displays and/or re-train sales personnel. You have sadly lost a faithful client, who will support someone else. I am really disappointed in the sales lady - who became our go to person for ordering.
