Avoid CTM if you can.
Firstly, I visited the shop in Amalinda, East London and waited for around 15mins for someone to help me before leaving - they had one rep on the floor who was occupied.
So I went online to look for and order tiles. Only to be informed after I paid that they did not have the tiles I wanted. The person I was dealing (Mpho Mabena) with tried to arrange alternative options which were not suitable. He and his assistant then asked me to give them a little time to try source the tiles I wanted with a commitment they would get back to me within a few days. I then gave them the time and tried following up on the day they said I would be contacted. All my messages and attempts at contacting them were ignored. I then tried sending mails to the sales and service department emails which they have listed on their sites - still not a single response 2 days later from either email account.
Today I sent 3 messages again to the consultant I was dealing with, the final one asking if I needed to get lawyers involved to get a refund. Only now do I get a response saying "they're sorry" and they have managed to find the tiles I'm looking for.
I've declined the offer as I am so frustrated that I needed to do all the chasing and only got a response when I threatened legal action. All they had to do was keep me informed and I made this easy for them by asking them what's going on.
Most shocking level of service I've encountered in a long time. So the take away is a deal lost to the value +/- R25k just because someone didn't want to reply to me.
Pretty sure alot of other outlets will happily take my money to assist me.
