Great Job, Burning Arrow Spur in Queenswood! Say Hi to Godfrey!

Most of us know the welcome feeling when visiting a Spur. And the food is great.

Today was no different. But there was something else. I ordered a 300g Cheddamelt Steak, pepper sauced, medium rare and on a hot plate please.

The plate arrived - sizzling hot, and the perfect combo landed in front of me - steak, plain fries and onion rings. I could hardly wait to dig in. I tried to figure out why today's meal was somewhat different. The fries were good as always and so was the onion rings. Initially the beautiful sauce caught my attention, And yet, this was still not it. I had a go at the steak and it was really, really good. But a steak is a steak, right?

And then it hit me. It is definitely in the steak. It was PERFECTLY MEDIUM RARE and so tender. In my 64 tears on this earth, I have never had such a perfectly grilled steak. THAT was the foundation of the whole menu offering,

I simply had to meet the griller and offer my compliments. With the friendly assistance of the floor manager, I was introduced to Godfrey and had the privilege to chat to this young man. Although he appreciated the compliment, he remained so humble taking care not to be distracted from what he was grilling at that moment.

I have no doubt that Godfrey still has many steaks to grill for many customers, putting his whole heart into this great calling - making a meal and in a way life really worth the while.

To the management, the waiter and all involved with my meal today, in particular Godfrey and those preparing the fries, onion rings, sauce etc. thank you for a perfect experience!
