Concillour and Izinyoka

<p>It is terrable how our beloved municipality together with our voted concillours are behaving when we are inneed of them. I stay in Mdantsane unit 12 and since Monday evening our electricity power switched off. We slept thinking that by Tuesday everything will be sorted out. I went to report it during the day at the Municipal offices at Fort Jackson and was told that they are busy with it. Afternoon to my surprise still did not have power and though other houses that were also affected had it. I went again to the Municipal offfices to report this and to my surprise the lady that helped now didnt even care that we were spending another night without power only told us that the technicians went there but could not do anything because of ******* connection(Izinyoka connection) that we must talk to those people to take out their lines then the technicians will connect us. I asked this lady who is suppose to talk to these people because yes it is our problem but the municipality knows. She told me as the community we need to negotiate with those people. Since as a community we have elected someone I called our concillour Mlandeli and to my surprise he didnt even help nor take the matter as an urgent. I also told thim that we have groceries in the fridge and is getting spoilt and he told me its not his business he will call the municipality the following day. Is not this person elected by us to be our voices when we cant talk? Is not this person our leader? Kanti if we can do this ourselves why did we vote? If asikwazi kuthetheleleka why did we even vote for them? I then went to other community members and went to the ******* connectors, called the municipality to come and reconnect. What is irritating most is that the person who was suppose to intevine did nothing. what if those ******* connectors fought us who was to be blamed? Why are we still fighting ******* connection even after 22 years in Democracy?</p>
