BCM go above and beyond
Just a shout-out to the Buffalo City Municipality refuse collection team who helped us shut our garage door the other day. They saw us struggling, hopped out of the truck, and gave us a hand. We couldn't have managed it on our own, and thanks to their kindness, we didn't have to leave our garage open overnight. Thank you for going above and beyond!

Buffalo city municipality not willing to assist with refunding me after sending me a letter to request for the refund
I have been trying to get help with a refund as I have over paid and have contacted the municipality from 2023 and no one was willing to help. Eventually I dealt with Ndileka Xuza from Bcm and provided him with the relevant documents in February 2026 and still have not received any feedback to date. It's not a small amount (pocket change) that I can just let slide.

Excellent service at BCM traffic Braelyn
Just a shout out to BCM traffic department at Braelyn. I had to renew my license. It took an hour total for the application, eye tests and payment. It was over lunch & everyone was WORKING! No bad attitudes. And I picked up my new license 2 weeks later. I doubt you’d have a more efficient experience anywhere in the country. Well done guys!

We are currently being charged about R500 per month for electricity availability by Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, yet we have now gone three consecutive days without electricity
We are currently being charged about R500 per month for electricity availability by Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, yet we have now gone three consecutive days without electricity. This raises a serious concern — what exactly are we paying for? The purpose of an availability charge should be to ensure that electricity is accessible and that infrastructure is maintained. However, there has been no supply and no urgency in resolving the issue. It is unfair for residents to be billed consistently for a service that is not being delivered. If electricity is not available for days, then the charge loses its meaning. We request clarity on what this fee covers and immediate improvement in response times and communication during outages. This situation is unacceptable and needs urgent attention. Concerned Resident
