Bubble World - ******* business with poor quality products

Do not buy or deal with this ******* company. Purchased a 3 peice suitcase on BOB, which they said was new but didnt come with a zip handle to close or lock the middle size suitcase. They sent this to me and I had to fit it. Then, I used the very same suitcase a few days later for local travel, this time the inner zip handle broke and the suitcase lock broke, the actual portion that hold the zip handles broke. I had to purchase a lock and lock the zip handles due to this poor quality suitcase lock. Else my belongings would have been exposed at the airport.

I then informed them through BOB cos this was reported immediately when first used.

Laiba Yaseen Zareena quoted the CPA and sent extracts from the CPA, and the sellers rights, neglecting to take accountability for the poor quality suitcase that was sold. This is the middle size item, I can only imagine the poor quality of the larger and smaller suitcases and all th suitcases they sell cos this is true reflection of their business, Bubble World and how they do business...my claim/request was declined cos apparently I used the suitcase and didnt frame it for viewing only. Just kidding, it got damaged after one use, cant imagine what I would have done if this was overseas travel.

This is the most pathetic, and unapologetic company you will ever deal with so choose carefully as they will throw all the legal jargon at you when the defect was reported after 2 weeks of receiving it and using it for the first time. Stay far far away from this *******, irresponsible company who are in business to rip people off

Reviewer Update
The replay from Bubble World Management:

Dear Streen P and Thandi Tengani,

We are writing to provide a final update regarding the reported issues with the luggage set from Order ***6.

Following a senior technical review of the images provided, together with a full review of the communication history and case timeline, our team has reached a final decision. We regret to inform you that we will no longer be proceeding with the previously discussed upgrade or exchange options.

Reasoning for this Decision

1. Unauthorised Alteration of Goods
Based on the information provided by the buyer, it is confirmed that the suitcase was materially altered through the purchase and fitting of a third-party replacement lock. Under Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), a supplier’s warranty obligations are voided once goods have been altered by the consumer. This self-repair also prevents us from conducting a proper assessment of the original condition and cause of the reported damage.

2. Usage and Travel-Related Damage
The images reviewed do not indicate a manufacturing defect that was present at the time of delivery. The damage described occurred after the suitcase was used for travel and therefore falls under wear and tear or transit-related damage, which is excluded from CPA warranty protections.

3. Initial Issue Successfully Resolved
The only issue reported at delivery — a missing zip puller — was resolved when a replacement was supp**** on 29 November 2025 and confirmed as received and installed by the buyer. That matter was therefore closed at the time.

Conclusion

We sincerely apologise for any misunderstanding regarding the availability of an upgrade. However, in light of the confirmed self-repair and the nature of the damage shown in the images, we are unable to approve any further return, exchange, refund, or upgrade for this order.

We recommend that the buyer consider contacting their airline or travel insurance provider regarding any damage sustained during transit.

This is our final decision on this matter

Thank you for your understanding and we again apologise for any inconvinience caused.

Kind regards,
Bubble World Management
