R850 for what when you nolonger my broker!

I recently bought a car, and Bsure (Broker) was the first to contact me to offer insurance in order for my car to be released from the dealer. They arranged an offer for me with King Price. During our conversation, I was told that I needed to pay a once-off fee of R850 as a broker fee.

Three days later, I received a call from My Finansor, who recommended that I use AA. I agreed to let AA contact me, and I discovered that they do not charge this once-off fee. I then decided to remove Bsure as my broker and appointed AA instead.

Now Bsure insists that I am still liable for the R850 even though they are no longer my broker. At no point did the salesperson inform me that I would remain liable for the fee if I cancelled their services. I find this extremely unfair, as I no longer make use of their services.

I was told there is nothing I can do about it, and that even if I reverse the debit order, they will continue to attempt debiting my account.

I want to caution others: when buying a car, avoid using Bsure. In my view, this practice is misleading and amounts to an unfair transaction.
