faulty goods sold

I bought a brother printer model MFC-L2740DW on the 11/6/15. Installed correctly and started using the printer. The envelope printer function kept printing skew. Also, while making photocopies the machine overheated on 2 separate occasions. Now less than 1 month from buying the printer I have asked for a new printer or a refund. They refuse to give me a refund or new machine and say it must be sent for checking and repair. How disgusting. The box advertises the printer as reliable. This printer is not reliable at all.
