Telephonically harassed daily by the rudest staff in the world!!
I am getting endless telephone calls daily from the rudest people who walked the face of the earth and who DONT WANT TO UNDERSTAND. I owe money to Edgars but 2 years ago I was placed under debt review but due to the in depth financial obligations I found myself in, I was only able to place my house, vehicle, personal loan and a credit card under the debt review otherwise I would be insolvent. I was unemployed for 3 months and this is what caused my debt to be unpaid. I am currently getting a monthly salary of R12000 of which I pay R10500 monthly to DC Partner (My debt counsellor is Sean Kelly from Resolution Debt in Vereeniging). I work weekends to get extra money to live and the problem with Brooks and Luyt Debt Collectors is I CANNOT MAKE A COMMITTMENT to pay a fixed amount every month because I don't always make enough money to pay. I have other retail accounts too and have attorneys calling me too, but no one as rude as the people who work at Brooks and Luyt. I have not once spoken to anyone who has reason to listen and who does not interrupt when I speak. I am working as a switchboard/receptionist at my current employer, which means "so-by-the-way" that I have customers sitting in my reception area and I have to answer the switchboard - therefore I AM NOT ALLOWED TO ANSWER MY PRIVATE CELLPHONE during office hours. I work at a storage facility and we don't have a fixed lunch hour as I can have my lunch at work but I am not allowed to leave the facility. Should I leave the facility then obviously I will be driving and then I cannot speak on my cellphone either. All I ask, is respect the amount I pay monthly, which will not be the same each and every month, but respect that I am at least paying. Stop phoning me every single day trying to FORCE me to make a fixed commitment that I know I will not be able to keep to. I am a single parent, staying on my own, only have a mother who is dependent on SASSA pension and I have a sister who is supporting her. All I am asking is call me when I don't pay not even a R50 - but PLEASE DONT CALL ME EVERYDAY forcing me to make a fixed commitment that I KNOW I will not be able to stick to.
