Dispute

I had a credit card that was handed over to Brooks and Luyt attorneys by FNB due to financial constraints and none payment. The account obviously accumulated fees and charges. I then gathered funds to pay off the account and requested for a settlement letter. I spoke to numerous consultants who gave me different amounts to settle the account and due to the inconsistency of information I prolonged the payment and requested a settlement letter. I spoke to Kennedy who couldn't send me a settlement letter for the account at a later stage they requested that Alec sends me a settlement letter which he sent me a statement with fees and charges inclusive the balance on the account. I was also advised by Khothatso/Kutlwano who was a consultant there that FNB was giving me a 20% discount if I settle the account. Kennedy disputed the statement and discount given to me by his staff members. I then requested a settlement letter from him which he failed to provide even today. He only sent an email with a settlement balance due which I decided to settle out of frustration. I then requested that they update my credit bureau profile and have been in contact with them with regards to this for sometime which is still not done even after I was promised it would be. I overpaid them with an amount of a R1000 even today their settlement letter they provided me with does not state how much I owed on the account and how much it was settled with. I feel that they did that because they know they overcharged me based on the debt collection act.
