Complete Disregard for the Consumer Protection Act - CON ARTISTS

Still being hounded for a credit card debt that was last paid 8 years ago. This ************ organisation has no regard for the law and has even tried to TRICK me into paying R100 just to reinstate the debt as they KNOW that it has prescribed.

They mass SMS the below messages in the hope that some poor sod will pay R100 towards a huge debt so that they can then take action. If you receive a message like the below DO NOT PAY ANYTHING, this is a con move to try get you to reinstate the debt. I am shocked that FNB actually associate themselves with ********* like this.

"FNB PREMIER Card holder: Despite previous attempts your account remains unpaid and with no payment plan in place. We therefore have no other option but to approach our legal department to proceed with further legal actions, unless a minimum payment of R100 is made today. Contact Brooks and Luyt Attorneys urgently on (011) ********** to discuss options available to you"
