Unsatisfactory handling of a claim

I'm very disappointed with the manner in which Brolink handled my claim after I had a geyser burst. My geyser was still under warranty but the manufacturer (Duratherm) voided the warranty because, according to them, the vacuum breakers were not installed or not installed properly. Although Brolink has replaced the geyser, I feel that it was not enough of them to NOT insist on the installing plumbers to take responsibility. The response I received from Brolink after I insisted they hold the plumbers responsible and refund my excess, was that I had an “unbalanced system and the installers can’t be held liable as it is not a SABS requirement when a geyser is installed”. They claimed that it is my responsibility to balance the system. I have since sought plumbing advice from other professionals and learned that, according to SANS 10254 standards, it is actually the responsibility of the installing plumbers to ensure that the geyser system is balanced after installation. I feel very cheated for having forked out the excess and no further action will be taken against the installing plumbers. I'm also sitting with some damage to my ceiling, walls and fittings, but no feedback from Brolink after bringing this to their attention. Brolink you suck!
