Dragging Claim Payout

I was in an accident on 9/02/2016 whereby one of Brolinks clients Helen Twine drove into me. The accident was her fault and she admitted to it.

I opened a case at the police station etc.

The first form of contact i receive from Helens insurance was from Nedbank Insurance Relationship Manager, Amanda de Meillon requesting that I send the below details as this is what their client insurer needs.

"1. Letter from your insurers stating that you are not going to claim from your insurers (stating date, place, parties involved – it should clearly be linked to the incident)

2. 3 quotations for repairs

3. Copy of your drivers’ licence (enlarged 200%)

4. Proof of ownership of vehicle – I suspect this will be required as well"

I sent all of the above on 10/03/2016 to Anzel du Plessis from Brolink as she was the person to deal with the claim.

Anzel got back to me on the 23rd of March 2016 stating what documents they need. On this list there were new requirments. as below.

"Bank details of the registered owner of the vehicle. Either a blank cheque or stamped bank statement please. Score out any debits and credits.
A No Claim Letter from your insurers with your details as well as the vehicle details, confirming that you have not lodged a claim for the specific date of loss.
Copy of driver’s license of driver at the time.
Copy of registered owner id document.
A copy of the vehicle registration certificate (NOT THE LICENSE RENEWAL FORM).
Basic sketch and description with reasons for holding our insured liable for damages sustained.

"

I compiled all of this information, spoke to my insurer which is Outsurance and they gave me a non claim letter which advised me they provide all their clients with and should suffice. I then sent everything Anzel requested on the 29th of March 2016.

Anzel rep**** to me again on the 9th of May 2016 stating the below.

"Good day,

Please note that we are still awaiting a correct No Claim Letter from your insurers. The letter provided by yourself is not correct and has to include the vehicle details, date of accident, policy holder name and policy number as well as confirmation that no claim was registered for said accident.

We will only be in a position to start with the claims process once the abovementioned letter has been received."

So again in the email sent on the 23rd of March all that details were not requested to me on the Non claim letter and why does it take her more than a month to tell me that?

I get the feeling that they are trying to make me dispondent regarding claiming as they expected me to claim from my insurance for a **** accident I did not cause.

I called my insurance again to tell them about this and they drafted a new letter with everything Brolink wants and i have sent it to Anzel.

Now i want to see how long it will take them to start the claim or what else they will come back with that they might need.

But in my response to Anzel i have advised her that should there be any other issues relating to this claim pay out, i will not leave it like this. I will take it further with the correct parties.
