Brolink and Santam playing games

I have an issue with Brolink and Santam and PG Glass when i claims a new windscreen on my 2012 Toyota Fortuner. The original windscreen was the one that got damaged. I was told to go to PG Glass and when i got in my vehicle immediately saw that a different windscreen was installed. The tinting was hardly noticeble as well as my vehicle vin nr was now not visible . This clearvue windscreen is advertised as a alternative windscreen for the cash strapped motorist and sells at R1350 as per PG website. On querying this i was informed by PG that Santam/ Brolink rejected a shatterpruf windscreen for my claim.please see the description f this windscreen:

Safevue is a new addition to the PG Glass automotive glass product range. Safevue is an affordable option which is aimed at the cash strapped motorist needing a windscreen . This windscreen undegoes 9 tests compared to more than 30 on the shatterpruff.

Surely the should put me in the same position as before the damage . Something that they tried not to do. If i did not see this and took it up , i would have been worse off.

They have now agreed to replace this windscreen , however my mails to brolink remains unanswered as to why ...

Hello bvdw,

PG Glass failed to follow the correct process in that they did not communicate the type of windscreen to be fitted to the vehicle with you, prior to installation. Neither Brolink nor Santam rejected the Shatterpruf windscreen, as no such a request was received from PG Glass. We refer to our email send earlier today with a more detailed discussion regarding the matter. PG Glass already apologised from their side. Please also accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused to you, our valued client.

Please be advised of our best intentions at all times.

Kind regards,
