Tampered luggage

I had been on holiday and my last flight home from Johannesburg (OR Tambo) to Durban had a 15 minute delay and my bag was tampered. Upon arrival I noticed my luggage bag had been opened and clothing hanging out of it. I was in shock and did report it and in that moment it was difficult to figure out what had been ******. I was told to report the missing items the next day which is a short notice period especially if you travelled for 2 weeks.
