****** Slur by British Airways Staff Member

I was returning to JHB from Cape Town on flight BA6418 at 16:00 - 15th Sep. Whilst standing in line to scan my ticket and board, a british airways staff member approached me and asked to weigh my hand luggage. Due to business meetings, this was my 3rd flight on british airways for the week so i was puzzled that i was only asked now. My luggage was in fact 2.5kg over weight.

Being that I was standing in line to board, I asked the gentleman what should I do. His reply in a rude tone was......

"You have to offload 3kg of luggage from your bag".

At this point I was getting annoyed and asked him where I should put my luggage and if 2.5kg was going to mess up the aircrafts aero-dynamics?.His reply......

"That's not my problem, if you don't like it, you must go back to the counter and check it in". " You will not board, I promise you".

If I go back to the counter to check in my hand luggage I would definitely miss my flight. I then asked if British Airways would put me on another flight should this happen. His reply......

"British Airways will not, you will learn a lesson and miss your flight".

For some strange reason this gentleman has been given authority by British Airways to decline flights. I am a very patient person, but his behavior was unacceptable by any standard.I then took the gentleman aside and enquired about his tone in dealing with the situation. His reply in a quivering voice.......

"You people think you are clever......but not today".

At this point my patience was worn out. Another ground staff member came over and asked me to remove the heaviest item from my bag. I then proceeded to take out a pair of shoes and some other items from my hand luggage.

The gentleman then weighed my bag again and it was fine.

I then packed the same items back into my bag and boarded the aircraft; and this for some odd reason was just fine. So all the drama was for nothing?

Hats off to British Airways for hiring the most rude, illiterate, immoral, ****** staff member. I did however get the imbeciles name via his name badge and I could be wrong with the spelling.

He is a skinny, black gentleman with blood shot eyes and bad posture who goes by (Foloshwane.N). You have a long and unrewarding future ahead of you (Foloshwane.N). It is still a shock that in this day and age this type of behaviour is condoned by a reputable company.

Needless to say this is my last B.A flight. And I will definitely spread the word amongst my colleagues and company.

I still believe (Foloshwane.N) thinks that aero-dynamics was an insult of some kind. I assure you (Foloshwane.N) this was not my intention as aero-dynamics is related to the aircraft whilst in flight. Thanks for nothing British Airways.
