Poor Service
I arrived at the check in counter at 10.25. I was told I was too late to check in and board my flight. My understanding is that it closes 30mins before hand which I accepted. The check in clerk clearly said that it closed at 10.15. Which is 5 mins too early.

What I did not appreciate is that the fact that the person who assisted me did not explain the process I need to take to board another flight. After getting assistance another customer complained about the same person and I quote \You do not know your JOB!"I feel that the service British Airways provide is pathetic - with a hint of arrogance.

When I boarded my flight with a competing airline they accommodated the customers and closed boarding 8 mins before the stated take off time and we were still on schedule.

Its ridiculous that in 2015 that an airline company has no sense in accommodating the needs of a customer - especially the ones that provide you as a company with revenue."""
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us.
All our flights close 30 minutes prior to departure. Our check in system will prompt a response to close our flights. Our procedure is to make an announcement, check the queues and then finalise the flight. We would like to accept customers who are running late, but it isn't as straight forward as that as we risk losing our take off slot with Air Traffic Control and this will affect the later flights which the aircraft is scheduled to operate. We do try and accommodate customers who arrive late for check-in whenever possible and when we are sure it will not delay the flight. However on that occasion it was not possible to re-open the flight to accept you as pre departure formalities (manifest and paperwork) had already been completed.
Yours Sincerely,
Nazley - CR
