My lost Luggage

British Airways doesn't even deserve a star with the appaling service and even more disgusting treatment I have received.

I travelled to Zimbabwe for businness on April 26th 2018, with three colleagues. Upon landing we came to discover that my luggage and a colleague's luggage had not made it to Harare. One of the employees communicated that our luggage had remained in Johannesburg but would arrive the next day. It was only on Saturday the 28th that my colleague's bag arrived but my bag had not arrived as promised. The very same day I got a hold of Xoliswa at OR Tambo airport and had insisted that she would assist me in locating my luggage but everytime I tried to call her the phone would go unanswered or it would be dropped. I tried on Sunday and got put through to Nthabiseng.

To say that I have never encountered someone more rude, arogant and condescending as her is an understatement. She was completely unprofessional so much so that she spoke over me and my boss over the phone, refusing to allow me relay my situation. She refused to search for my bag and refused to refer me to her manager. I received no help at all.

I called on Monday again, and was put through to Mpumi and the story keeps changing. To my horror I was told that my file concerning my lost luggage was closed! How when I haven't receieved my luggage? How? Then I ws told that British Airways has a policy that states that if my luggage has not been found then I am entitled to receive an amount money every day for six days to compensate for my inconvenience, something Xoliswa and Nthabiseng failed to communicate.

I keep receiving automated email responses but no coomunication has been relayed about what is happening concerning my luggage or compensation. I am in a foreign country and I have to go to work every day. My uniform as a technician is in that luggage so how should execute my duties without my luggage? What should I do about toiletries, change of underwear and most importantly my medication that was prescribed to me?

I'm immencely disappointed in the service and treatment I have received. I never thought that such a prestigious brand such as British Airways would be so careless and callous of their customers.

All that I have received from Britsh Airways since landing in Harare is unprofessionalism, rudeness, lack of communication, arrogance, empty promises and the worst customer service I have recieved. Even One Time found my luggage faster than British Airways and that speaks volumes.

Once I land back to Johannesburg i would personally go their offices becouse it seems like i will not be getting my luggage any time soon
