Lost Baggage - no concern

I have only ever flown British Airways once before and I refused to fly with them after that for many years. Yesterday i flew with them for the first time after that, and i was once again utterly disappointed.

My bag never arrived (early flight, 6:30am) and after almost 12 hours of no news after reporting the bag missing, i began phoning them. After almost 10 phone calls no-one seemed to know anything and could not give me any answers.

I then received a call saying it had been located and that It was stuck in the conveyer belt system, and could possibly be sent to me on the last flight of the day if they could get it unstuck.

Then no news.....

Only later when i could still not get hold of them (no answer from the lady who promised to phone me with updates) so I got hold of someone who works on the ground who knows the system. He informed me that the bag has definitely not been located and may only be found after 12pm (something to do with the system being turned off then), so I must phone in the morning. This morning I have tried to phone at least 15 times. No reply from the agents who promised to get back to me. I then fuinally got hold of the guys working on the floor who told me my bag is definitely not there or in the system. I still cannot get hold of the agents, who dont pick up the line, or phone back after the system asks for a voice message.

The lack of urgency is sickening. I have all the valuables I own in that bag, from my expensive fishing equipment down to my only clothes and even urgent malaria prophylaxis from my trip (of which i have now missed two days worth of doses).

I know these possessions may not be personal or valuable to you, Comair, but they are priceless to me. Surely the agents working in this department knew that the people they would be dealing with have just had all their valuables removed from their possession and that updates and a bit of urgency (and answers) are of utmost importance.

Either way, i would like to know how my bag can simply not be found???????????

Comair better pray to God I dont get Malaria.
