Head steward refuses to take complaint
I flew from Cape Town to Johannesburg on flight BA6405 on 5/7/15. Millicent reprimanded my 5year old for opening and closing her tray. She was extremely aggressive and inappropriate and had no right directing her complaint at my son. After a few moments I stood up and went to her to complaint. She refused to talk to me and asked me to return to my seat which I did. When she walked passed I asked her to discuss my complaint which she lm ooked away and walked past. I called to her 3 times and she refused to acknowledge me . At the end of the flight I walked up to her at the front of the plane and she refused to take my complaint. The pilot was standing next to her and advised that I complain off the flight. There was also a air hostess called Mildred who was unhelpful and abrupt. People around me also acknowledged how rude the staff had been except for one member. <br>
Thank you for getting in touch with us.
On behalf of British Airways, operated by Comair Limited , I would like to apologise for the manner in which the cabin attendant had addressed your children .
We expect all our staff to perform their duties in a professional, helpful and efficient manner, but sadly on this occasion we have let you down. The service you received is not in line with our level of service we wish to provide to our customers. All Comair staff are aware excellent customer service is one of our company's top line principals. I agree the situation could have be handled in a far more professional and kind manner. Rest assured the Cabin Crew Managers have been made aware of this incident and the necessary corrective action will be taken up with the team member.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention as this assists us to create a better service for you and all our customers. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity of a response.
Bye for now.
