flight delay, delay, delay, cancel, delay

British airways operated by Comair does not understand the word communication or service, I have an intense dislike for companies who operate in an non-ethical manner, I can't believe they did not know early the morning of 28 May that there was a problem with their flight and chose not to share it with passengers. Their website says their core values are service excellence and open communication. What a joke!

Flight Capetown to Dbn, Saturday, departure time 09h20, delayed to 11h00, then 14h00, then15h00, then 16h30 now on a different flight, (now on time according to BA), however only departs at 16h54. Meantime luggage booked in, sitting in departure lounge, have to rebook on a different flight, (have to leave departure lounge). Reason for delay = "operational reasons" for details ask the staff at the airport, who either really don't know or have been told to not to share, I suspect the former. The enquiries telephone number conveniently provided in the notice of the delay does not get answered. So unable to make a decision as to what should be done, book an alternative flight, go back home? Booked a morning flight as travel at night with a car a challenge. Note to self, avoid these clowns that don't know what communication means. They also think customers have got nothing better to do than sit around an airport departure lounge on a Saturday. Rather use Safair that pride themselves on departing on time. I dont expect a response but hopefully if will save some fellow traveller from expereincing the Comair/BA version of service excellence and open communication.
