DISGRACEFUL AIRLINE

<p>I was travelling from ORT thursday morning and i was assisted by a heavily pregnant woman at 4:45am and you could see the poor thing was struggling to even put a tag on my bag.How can you allow a heavily pregnant to do that kind of work and start that time..can you move her to another department or something.British airways you dont have any regard for your employers..what a disgrace.i would not want my friends and family to come and work for such company.</p>

Good Day Lutendo

Thank you for your post.

I do understand your concerns with the regards to the pregnant staff member who assisted you. I can assure you that we will not put our staff in a position that is detrimental to their health. I have worked at the check-in counters myself and previously we had baggage handlers lifting the baggage from the scale and then placing it on the conveyer belt. With our modern airports today, there is a baggage belt leading from the check-in counter to the baggage hall which means staff no longer have to handle the baggage themselves. Customers are asked to place the baggage on the scale in such a way that it is easy for the staff to attached the baggage tag on the bags.

The wellbeing of our staff is very important to us. Thank you for being in touch with us.

Kind Regards,

Nazley – CR
