Disappointment and dismay at the lack of empathy and unprofessionalism!
BA
I wish to share my disappointment and dismay at the lack of empathy and unprofessionalism displayed by both ground staff and flight attendants.
I requested assistance upon booking my BA flight BA6431
I completed information when purchasing the ticket that I required travel assistance (a wheelchair) and I didn’t pre-book my seat because as per the wording online BA website, people who require special assistance will be given a seat accordingly. When I got to the check-in counter in Johannesburg the lady didn’t seem pleased to assist me, lack customer service and I had to ask twice for a wheelchair! She then books me seat number 26 f when I advised I have an operation and I was unable to walk.
When I got onto the plane, the cabin crew made me walk through the plane and put me in seat 17 c with passengers walking past and bumping into my leg to the point of me bursting into tears as it was in the aisle seat.
This is by far the worst treatment I have received and booked on BA based on recommendations from family and friends who I will share of my dissatisfaction.
I flew to Johannesburg with Lift a far cheaper airline carrier and they definitely accommodated my temporary disability with professionalism.
I will ensure to never make use of this airline again. I will also make sure that my company no longer uses BA for any travel going forward!
