Disappointing service

Very disappointed in British Airways booked flight from CPT to DBN for the 4th of Jan departing at 18h40. When we get to the airport an hour before departure we hear that the flight left at 17h30. We got no sms or email or any notification of the flight change. This is really appalling and i am beyond furious!!!!
