British Airways employee in a "bad mood".

My husband and I were at OR Tambo international airport to board a flight to Durban on 23-5-18 for 18:40. Boarding time was at 18:10, we were at the counter just before the boarding time. We were told by the employee at the British airways check-in counter that it was too late to check our bags in and that we had to book a new flight. We were never assisted or given the option at this stage to send our bags to our residence and board the flight.

We went to the British airways sales counter to book a new flight. The employee at the sales counter tried her best to assist us to get onto the plane. (This was 15 minutes after being told that we were too late to check our bags in). After trying, she advised that if the relevant people allow it, we may still be able to board the flight.

At this time, the employees gave us an option to send our bags to our residential address and board the flight as we already had boarding passes. Unfortunately, after seeking permission from relevant people, we were still not able to board the flight because according to the gentlemen assisting us, the lady that had to give permission to board has been in a "bad mood" all day.

We booked the first flight for the next morning - 24/5/2018. While being inside the plane, we noticed a number of late comers.

I am extremely unhappy with the manner in which we were treated by British Airways especially due to the fact that a British Airways employee was in a bad mood.
