British Airways Comair treats potential customer badly.
On the 22 February 2021 My wife and I made bookings from Cape town to Johannesburg from where we had a connection flight to Botswana. The initial booking worked fine and we paid the R2601.92 for the flights. During the day the particular flight were cancelled or moved 3 times to a different times. Our reference number was LHKQZC. Finally we had to the cancel the booking because we would not be able to make our connection flight to Botswana. We were then informed that it will take 6 to 8 weeks for the money to be paid back to us. We had to book another flight on another airline and had to pay for that as well. After 6 weeks I phone the cancelation number provided on the Internet site for BA Comair and was informed that I was number 23 in the queue and I had to hold on. During the hour I held on I was bombarded with a stream of instructions and adverts and I eventually gave up as my cellphone time ran out. My wife then proceeded to phone and the call was answered after 55 minutes. The person just informed her that we still have to wait another 2 weeks before enquiring again.
I think that the way they treat customers is not acceptable and I will advice all potential customers to really think twice before commuting with this Airline. They are very quick to acquire your money but not so quick in paying back. They were the ones that changed and cancelled flights on very short notice and then just informed the customers that they were booked on the next best suited flight without considering that some travelers had connection flight from Johannesburg to other destinations. I believe in this difficult times that this particular Airline will suffer the consequences of bad public relations and will not make it in the tough South African market.
