British air ways unfair delays

Irrespective of me checkin in online , I was refused to proceed to boarding because the bag drop was already closed . Boarding time was at 19:20 and departure time was 19:50 , I was at the gates 19:15 . I was made to book a flight ticket for another day , which I did. Now today is the day my flight was booked to and the flight is 1 hour late . Why must we suffer and not be allowed in if we not that late but when the flight is late , we supposed to understand ??? I find this really unfair and problematic . Clearly British airways and airpot company services we need to do something about this . The same way we get punished for being late , flights like this need to be punished as well , they need to compensate travelers for the inconvenience they have caused for them . this is the second time british airways is delayed for some long in a very short space of time. It will only make sense if I am compensated for my time . I missed my shuttle transport due to their delay .
