Baggage damaged

Flew from OR Tambo to Durban on Flight BA6225 on the evening of Friday 20/02.Checked in my suitcase which was weighed and accepted, weight in order.Flight went well and I was happy with the service.Get to baggage claim and my suitcase bottom has been ripper open and the complete lever that's used to pull the case has been ripper out completely.I proceed to the British airways Babbage enquiries where I was "assisted" by two staff members Dave Francis and Trevor candasamy.whether these are their correct names or not I won't know as they refused to show me their identity badges.Trevor(kulula uniform) proceeded to tell me that it's my own fault that the case was ripped open as it is heavy. When o asked how only after it was handled by the baggage staff did it break he told me that the cases get handled roughly.Trevor who was extremely rude, loud continued to raise his voice at me and tell me leave. I've since received an SMS with reference ddrbba11646.I have never in my life been treated this way and continuously tried to tell him I had just been discharged from hospital in JHB and my case had been fine for the two weeks I was in hospital and the whole day that I had had it before getting to the airport. He told me that I don't have no cover as I paid for my flight with my debit card. Two other passengers with the same complaints continuwd to tell him that he was being rude to me and he was unconcerned. The amount of money paid for a flight to be treated that way was very disheartening.
