Bad attitude leaves me to fit the bill

Travelling home from our CT holiday to JHB started off so well with BA checking in with a helpful attendant.

Unfortunately on arrival in JHB when collecting our car seat from baggage claims (as it was checked in at the 'fragile\ baggage) it was missing an important piece that keeps the seat secure - these things do happen in transit. When asking the attendant behind the baggage counter for assistance to find the missing piece of our car seat that ensures the safety of the seat (the seat cannot be used without it) she rudely told me to go find the person that brought it to baggage claims.
How am I meant to know who this person is? Why could she not get up off her seat to at least pretend like she wanted to assist me or show me in the right direction?
After 15min of searching for the correct person
