BA is late again

<p>i was on flight BA6219 to Durban. We departed 2h30 minutes late and I had to be at the SunFlower fund ball at 18h30. If i knew this i would have flown SAA. They might be more expensive but more on time</p>

Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention. I do apologise for the inconvenience caused due to the delay of your flight.

You have every right to expect punctuality from us however there are numerous reasons within the operation, which cause flights to be delayed. To name a few among the many are; weather conditions, technical and rotational problems, regulated flight duty hours and air traffic congestion at the airport. While some of the delays are within our control, the majority are not and these are caused by unforeseen circumstances which prevent us from operating flights as scheduled.

Most delays are not within our control but we are working very hard to improve on the delays that are within our control. We are sure that you will understand that our primary and utmost concern is for the safety of our customers and crew. We do understand the incredible inconvenience that lengthy delays may cause our customers however, it cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of this industry.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity of a response and do once again apologise for the inconvenience and frustration caused.
