Appalling Service
Good day
I am a long-time supporter of British Airways and Comair who has enjoyed your product offering and service In South Africa. I was helped by a Nosipho Mandobe who did not greet, was very unfriendly and very rude towards me as a customer. She Insisted that I hold up my Id card so that she can read it and did not take the card at all. This is in contrast to the 4 other Comair employees that asked for my card and did not have issues. Covid protocols were followed with these 4 employees. It was as if I was inconveniencing Nosipho Mandobe for flying with British Airways. She printed my Boarding pass and handed it to me and really displayed no customer centricity in her dealings with me. When I asked her about the seat, I could sit on she said to me, “Can’t you see its printed on the ticket”. She did not tell me which gate and what boarding time was. She displayed a very bad attitude and started speaking abruptly to me. At this point I asked for the manager and she loudly said, “for what”. I had then left and gone to Faaiq Mowzer who is a supervisor and he assisted by changing my seat and provided me with the name of the rude employee. In my 25 years of flying, I have never experienced such rudeness and no customer deserves to experience this type of non-service. Today will be the last day that I will ever use British airways and Comair due to the bad treatment I received from your staff while checking in at the counter at the Cape Town International Airport at 7am on 31st of January 2021. It is appalling to see a Comair employee behave in such a way towards a customer. I was both shocked and disappointed to have been treated this way and believe that the management team needs to be made aware of this and should take strict disciplinary measures and against such behaviour. No organisation can afford to have such kind of employees who bring the name of the company into disrepute. I and my family for sure will no longer travel neither support Comair. I will be sure to inform my circle of business partners about this experience I received from Comair. I trust that this is not the way Comair does business during the Covid pandemic neither after the pandemic. A verbal apology is expected from the employee and a written apology from the organisation. I hope to hear from you soon and that you will take the necessary corrective measures. Regards
