appalling service

I booked a flight to Windhoek using my SA ID by accident, when i tried to change to my passport which was in a different name no one was prepared to assist me, even though i explained my situation, to no avail, i had to cancel the flight and lose money because of an error, i am sure you can understand that errors do occur and should be treated as such i definitely did not do that on purpose. When i spoke to someone at BA the lady was very helpful and said i have to ask the travel agencies to contact them, but they just told me they cannot assist me because BA is not prepared to change the name for me and that i will have to cancel my flight.

Good Day Ms. Kapp

Thank you for your email.

Our customers are required to insert their legal names when making a booking, as it is an (IATA) International Air Transport Association requirement.

When one makes a booking online, it does notify the booker to insert the correct legal name of the customers. It does also state in the terms and conditions that name changes are not allowed.

I will be in touch with you via your personal email for further information.

Kind Regards,

Nazley - CR
