Always Late
I'm a frequent flyer and one thing is sure, you cannot rely on the timelines provided. You cannot make plans. How do you know the day before that your plane will arrive late the next day. Why are contact details taken and not used?

05 Oct 2015, 10:03Hello AnnetteJordaan,
Thank you for your post. We try hard to keep to our published schedule as we understand the impact it has on our customers. Any delays to our schedule due to factors within our control are only imposed when absolutely necessary as it has a business impact on us as well.
Flight BA6229/02Oct'15 was delayed due to rotational reasons caused by technical problems. It will always be a huge challenge for all airline operators as we operate in extremely variable conditions and operate within a safety envelope that ensures there is no risk at any time to customers and staff. The unfortunate knock-on effects that are created when a flight is delayed/cancelled causes rolling delays as we and the Airports make every effort to catch up on all our schedules. When a flight is delayed for more than 90mins, notification will be sent out to affected customers. As this flight was delayed for 49mins, notification was not sent to customers.
Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to respond.
Yours Sincerely,
Nazley - CR
