STAY AWAY FROM BRIDE AND CO RIVONIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

It is now almost a month since I send a complaint, I still have not yet received feedback.

I am assuming Bride and Co's head office is fine with inexperienced tailors and managers with no customer service to create a bad name for Bride and Co as a whole?

No feedback received whatsoever. Keep up the good work... For new viewers, this was my review on 8 May 2018...

''I had the worst experience at Bride and Co Rivonia. So much so that I will take this further and make sure NO one who ever get's in contact with me will set foot there.

I bought my dress from you October last year. The dress was fine and we took it home. At that stage Pinky helped me and she was extremely helpful throughout.

I then took my dress back to Rivonia the beginning of April for alterations: When I bought the dress there were a few buttons missing, probably from all the fitting. So they said I should bring the dress in April so they can fix the buttons and do other alterations should I wish to do so.

When I took my dress to Rivonia beginning of April I went to fit the dress and waited for the alterations person, I never got his name, but apparently there is a young guy and an older guy, this was the young guy. He had absolutely no ideas or suggestions for inserting straps into the dress as I needed to have straps for support.

I then had a suggestion to take it in a bit under the arms to make it a bit tighter at the breast part. He then just said ok he will do that. I was upset that I, the client, had to come with suggestions and ideas and he just stood there.

I went back last week Tuesday to collect me dress, keep in mind it is 10 days prior to my wedding on 11 May. I was shocked with what I found! The dress was taken in so much that it went from a size 16 to probably a size 12!!!!

The part at the breasts were still hanging but the back was so tight I could not move, walk or sit. I freaked out and asked him what he did and he said he took it in as I asked him to. I then asked him that surely as an expert he should have told me he can take it in, but then this would happen, I would have never agreed then. He just kept saying 'I did what you told me to do' and I just said, you are the expert you are supposed to know what you are doing!!!

My dream dress suddenly became a nightmare. I then asked him to take the dress back to what it was and let's just do the straps. He had NO ideas or suggestions for straps. I asked him to put in straps and cover the straps with some sort of lace like the dress material to cover this and make it look like the dress was supposed to be like this. He just said he can't. I found this unbelievable! They closed at 15h00 on that day and the conversation and fitting was cut short as I could see he want to finish to go home. I asked to speak to a manager and he called Lucy. Lucy kept saying he did what I told him to do and they cannot give me another dress as this one was altered. She then went as far as saying the mer**** style dresses does bulge at the back and sitting so tight it looks like I have back breasts! Funny how this dress changed because when I bought it and when I brought it in April it was sitting perfectly!

I left. I went to think about the situation the evening and decided to fetch my dress and take it to Parkview to fix. I was given so much hassles telephonically by Lucy telling me that she cannot give the dress back to me and expect Parkview to fix this as this is unfair towards Parkview. I did not ask her permission to collect my dress for which I paid R13 000 for! She was arrogant and had the attitude that they are right, I am wrong. They have no sense of customer service or keeping a bride happy. This is the most important day in any women's life which they take as a joke! See photo attached of his ideas of straps.

The customer service at Rivonia is nothing more than pathetic. Every time I get there Lucy is chilled on the phone and looks like she is doing you a favor to assist you and this even is an effort to her.

After long telephone conversations I managed to speak to the manager at Parkview, think Leanne and she said I can bring the dress in and Julie-Anne will work her magic. I picked up the dress from Rivonia as it was, tight and a mess and took it to Parkview.

From the moment I set foot in Parkview I felt welcome and like I was their first priority. The tailor at Parkview was shocked at what she saw! Nonetheless, she worked her magic and the dress is now fine. See photo attached of her plan with the straps. She was bubbly and burst out with ideas and suggestions and even excitement to help me. She even offered to do some of the alterations at no cost to compensate for this experience. You can really compliment your staff at Parkview, excellent!

I honestly feel for Bride and Co and being such a big brand and being the go-to store for bridal dresses, this was horrific to say the least! I paid R300 for alterations to be done to my dress which is now wasted as the dress just got took out again. I had to drive from Pretoria to Rivonia 3 times for NOTHING!

Overall service delivery in SA is below zero, but what I have experienced here blew my mind.

I don't expect a red carpet to be rolled out due to this experience, but I am going to post this on social media to warn other brides and help them to not make the same mistake in trusting Rivonia's branch. This was the worst I have ever encountered.

I would not recommend you have a manager sitting there looking like the world owes her something and a tailor who has no idea what he is doing.

I really trust and hope that management will look into this and either up s**** the staff and to create an experience unforgettable to any bride.''
