Refund Refused

<p>I bought a brides**** dress from the Parkview Bride&co in Garsfontein on 10 November 2016. Soon after buying the dress it came to light that one of the other brides****s bought the same dress in a different colour. Due to the specifications for the brides**** dresses there was no other dress on the floor that I could swop it for, and not enough time for the dresses you can order. Nervous that I wouldn't find a different dress and not realising the returns policy is 14days from purchase, I held onto the dress for the time being. However, I found a different dress and took the Bride&co dress back, tags attached and all, 3 weeks after I bought it instead of within the 2 week policy. I was refused a refund which I thought was quite unreasonable. I was not asking to extend the 2 week returns policy to 6 months, I asked for it to be extended it by 1 week. I was even willing to take a voucher so the money could still be spent at their shop in the future. The store manager made a call but in the end the answer was "sorry, our returns policy is 14 days". I then email their customer service and again was told "sorry we can't give you a refund". I understand businesses have policies in place for a reason, but I also know that sometimes you can move slightly outside "policy" for customer satisfaction. I din't want to go to Hellopeter, I just wanted to return my unworn dress within a reasonable time frame :(</p>
