Sold expired product while I'm pregnant.

I’m extremely disappointed and hurt by the way Boxer has handled my complaint.

On 26 June 2025, I purchased a juice from their Boxer Protea Gardens. Only to find out later that it had expired on 24 June 2025. I unknowingly drank it, and at 00:49 AM on the 28th, I began vomiting. I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant, so this wasn’t just a small mistake — it was a serious risk to both me and my unborn child.

I contacted the store and was invited in to speak to the manager. I went in calmly, hoping for a respectful discussion and a fair resolution. Instead, I was offered R100. That was incredibly dismissive and insulting, especially considering the physical harm and emotional stress I went through.

I also informed Head Office, and I’m waiting to see if they take this matter seriously. But I feel the public deserves to know how this store handled a situation that could’ve turned into a health emergency all from selling an expired product.

I’m sharing my experience here in case others find themselves in similar situations. I expected accountability, not disrespect.
