Poor Service
On the 20th May 2022 at about 14h25 my wife went to Boxer Superstore in Welkom to purchase their Steak that was on special for R89.99p/kg. On her arrival at the butchery she asked the gentleman to please give her Rump Steak of about R150.00. The gentleman said they don't have that, he can give her chuck or brisket. She then indicated to him that that is not steak, he then rep**** that he doesn't know what steak is they don't have that. She than asked him can he please then call somebody who can assist her with steak he then turned and spoke to a lady that was busy on her cellphone at the back the lady ignored him and left the butchery very annoyed he turned to my wife and said sorry I cannot assist you. My wife then went to the cashier manager Godfrey and requested to speak to a branch manager she then told Godfrey what just happened at the butchery. He then apologised and said he's gonna go and look for the butchery manager. On his return he came back with the same lady who left the butchery she then said to Godfrey she can assist my wife with T-bone steak and walked to the back. While they were standing waiting for the meat she was mistreated, bul**** and gossiped about in another language in front of other clients. My wife also asked Godfrey why are none of the butchery staff not wearing masks as per Covid 19 regulations. Unfortunately he could not answer the question, my wife paid the meat and left. On Saturday the 28th May I went with my wife again looking for rump steak so now staff recognised her from the previous altercation. I went to the counter requested for R200 Rump steak. A gentleman screamed from the back that it is finish. He did that with so much disrespect, without apologising and as if we were disturbing him in his daily duties. And again none of the staff was wearing their masks. We then proceeded to the cashier after paying for our items we asked to speak to the branch manager. We then explained to him what happened the previous time on that specific day. He then called the manager from the butchery and she walked from the back of the store to her manager and still without a mask. He asked her about what happened she said to him they had an order of R7000 steak she did not have anything. He asked her when the stock will arrive she said she think it will be in the store by Tuesday 31 May 2022, but she is not sure. The branch manager then took my wife's phone number and promised to call us the moment the stock arrive. Today is 03 June 2022 and still no feedback from either the butchery manager who does not wear mask or the store manager. Now my question to Boxer Supermarket is: Why are we being inconvienced to enter your store being sanitised and wearing our masks while your staff who is working with raw meat does not see the need to do that. Covid 19 pandemic is a global health crisis that is having devastating impacts. How safe are we in Boxer Welkom?
