No regard for our time
I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding the repeated failure of service at Boxer Superstore Motherwell Shopping Centre, specifically relating to the Lotto machine.
On Friday, 26 September 2025, I stood in queue for 59 minutes with the intention of purchasing a Lotto ticket. Upon reaching the counter, I was informed by the staff member that the Lotto machine was not operational. I inquired whether she was aware of the fault, and she confirmed that she was. Despite this, no signage or prior notice had been displayed to alert customers, resulting in a significant and unnecessary waste of time.
This is not an isolated incident. The Lotto machine at this branch is frequently out of service, and the lack of communication or courtesy to inform customers beforehand is unacceptable. Such disregard for customer time and experience reflects poorly on both the store’s management and its commitment to service standards.
I urge you to:
1. Ensure that clear signage is displayed whenever the Lotto machine is out of order. 2. Investigate and resolve the recurring technical issues with the machine. 3. Provide feedback on what steps will be taken to prevent future occurrences.
I trust that this matter will be treated with the seriousness it deserves. I look forward to your prompt response and a tangible improvement in service delivery.
Does somebody at Boxer even listen to customers?
Can somebody attend to my complaint.
