No interest to go an extra mile

I visited Boxer at Letlhabile complex to purchase a few items. I went to a cashier who told me that she can only assist with 5 items and when I checked I got 7 items, 2 were a pair that was on special and I said to her can she add the 2 since there was only one person behind me and she daid "No". The old lady behind me said, "Molao wa lona ke wa Pharoah" and old lady said she does not mind if I can be help with all 7 items but the cashier still said "No".

I ended up insisting on making 2 transactions so that I can leave the store with all my 7 items.

Is the system locked to transaction more than 5 items or cashier was just not helpful? What happend to going extra mile?
