Disappointed

I've been using my boxer card cash club from February I was depositing this this day. Today the 30th of August I went there as usually to deposit I was told my card is not working and it's very old I still didn't understand who's faults is it that my card is not working I spend more than an hour a cashier busy calling the supervisor, the supervisor didn't even have a name tag he said he doesn't know the card needs to be logged and the person who is responsible is not in I must come back. I told him I only get day off once in a while he said I should come with my id copy like am asking myself a whole boxer store doesn't have someone to help me out? I've been depositing R300 each month without fail. I need clarity what to do because am frastated. What will happen if I want to buy with the card and it doesn't work? The cashier was able to check my balance apparently they saying there's ***** with these cards.
