Assault at Boxer

On Friday 9th September 2022 my wife, daughter and I went to Boxer Daveyton next to Daveyton mall. Whilst waiting at the tills there was a power outage,we stood the by the tills no-one addressed us or told us to wait for the generator or leave the items we had in our trolley , eventually the generator kicked in, we proceeded to make our payment. As we made our way to the exit, the security officers wanted to search me. I politely refused and asked that they call the branch manager. Stood at the exit and the branch manager was not called or he/she never came. The security officer then told me the was no way I was leaving the store without being searched.I told him that I would rather have a refund than to be subjected to such an inhumane act.As I tried to leave the store, I was manhandled by the security guards, my daughter was trampled by one of the security officers and my watched fell and broke.When everything was taking place there was no intervention from the stores management team.As I tried to calm my daughter down and I asked for the branch manager he/she never came.Finally a gentleman by the name of Luthendo Mathibe(assistant branch manager)no name tag to identify with.I explained to him what had transpired and he did not show any empathy and he told me about it is the company's policy.He was not helpful in any manner.He did not ask for my contact details and was least interested in how I was treated.Wrote to boxer page on Friday and they have not contacted me.My basic right to respect has been violated.When I am in store my safety is the priority of the store but in this case is compromised by the business.I am disappointed by how boxer does not see anything wrong with searching customers in front of everyone.it is degrading and inhumane.
