I have been a regular customer of Boxer Superstores for a number of years and have always been impressed by how the staff conducts themselves even when under pressure, due to the high influx of customers, especially during the end of the month. I was constantly amazed and in awe of how they would manage to remain friendly and helpful under such extreme circumstances and as a result I would go out of my way to shop there. However after the incident I experienced at my local Boxer branch (Ladysmith) I can definitively say that you have lost a customer. On the 7th of April 2018 I needed to withdraw money at a till, something I have often done due to low bank charges and accessibility, being in a rush I fortunately saw an open till and proceeded to politely ask the cashier if I would be able to withdraw only a R100 as I needed to give some money to a friend to catch a taxi before I could proceed with my shopping. The cashier from the outset had a indifferent attitude and rudely told me to another till, where I would have to wait unnecessarily, as she did not have a R100 to give me. I thereafter pleaded with her and informed her that any denomination would be fine. She again asserted that she did not have any money to give me and couldn't be bothered to arrive at a compromise or solution. While speaking to her another customer came to the till and the cashier proceeded to help them. I stood nearby in shock at how I was spoken to and made to feel as though I am a nuisance. and not wanted. While waiting, flabbergasted, the cashier had to give some change to the customer who arrived after me and that's when I saw that she did in fact have enough money to give to me that she had point blank ****. I then proceeded to the manager where I relayed my encounter. Instead of accompanying himself he sent a subordinate employee to handle the issue and address the cashier. Upon going back she still maintained her "don't care" attitude even though the issue was escalating. She again stated that she did not have enough money to give me and when I informed her that I in fact had observed that she did possess adequate change to help me she then accused me of having a personal problem with her all the while dismissing me and yet again making me feel welcomed. Her attitude, demeanour, tone and diction were so appalling that her own ***orker had asked her to be remain quiet instead of continuing to berate me. After being forced to help me by her ***orker the supervisor had become aware of the situation and thereafter accompanied to the same cashier where she again maintained her stance on the issue. Only after being told by her supervisor of her wrong doings did she halfheartedly apologise as she, in her own words "was not aware" of what she did. The entire incident left me with a feeling of being welcomed and as a result your establishment has lost a life-long customer. Even though the issue might seem insignificant thee fact that the cashier in question had point blank **** to me and was so rude that I felt as if I had done something wrong is unacceptable. On any other day I might have acquiesced to her request to go to another till but due to her indifferent, repulsive and abhorrent attitude I felt it necessary to bring this to the attention of her superiors. The cashier who was responsible for the loss of my future business is Buyi and she is employed by your Ladysmith branch. I hope that she gets the training she requires in customer service as I can confidently say that I am not the only one who has noticed her pathetic lack of professional etiquette and have stopped frequenting the above stated branch due to her conduct.
