Student Advisor Appreciation Post

I just want to say how grateful I am to be able to have such a caring ,helpful and thoughtful student advisor such as Samkelisiwe Nqubuka that goes out of her way to make sure her students get the help and support needed to make their journey at Boston City campus much more relaxed and easier.

I attend Boston City Campus , Cape Town branch where I was assigned a different student advisor at the time. But during final exams , Samkelisiwe not even being my rightful student advisor picked up that my invigilator app was not working correctly ,and immediately assisting me despite me not being the student assigned to her.

In addition ,due to my invigilator app not working correct I wasn’t able to submit my exam at the required time - resulting in me missing the required time to upload the assessment.

Samkelisiwe being the amazing person she is fought tooth and nail to get the assessment managers to give me grace to upload my assessment due to it not being my fault that I couldn’t upload.

She was my spokesperson and made sure that the assessment manager hear my side and see that I was not at fault - Sams persistent dedication to appeal my side resulted in the assessment manager giving me grace to upload my examination later on that day.

On the contrary it was time for results and I noticed that I received a mark of 0.00 for that assignment ,leading me to immediately email Sam.

Despite me being devastated about this hole situation,Sam made sure that she was 100% with me through out the appeal process. She made me feel at ease and handled everything herself ,while constantly keeping me updated.

Samkelisiwe won the appeal on behalf of me resulting in my examination being marked and me obtaining my marks allowing me to pass the module.

I am so grateful for Sam I really don’t know if I could have handled the stress of going through that without her.

So thank you Samkelisiwe Nqubuka Boston City Campus need more student advisors like you.
