Dear Shamira,  Boston City Campus follows strict internal and, where applicable, external quality control measures before any assessment is provided to students and then again before any marks are released to students. This is in order to ensure that inter alia assessments align with the relevant NQF level and, further, that the awarding of marks is fair and consistent throughout. Certain assessments, such as the one you are referring to here, are also subject to plagiarism/similarity detection. As we recognise that there is certain standard information that cannot be changed, the institution has set a threshold that takes this into account – this is clearly communicated to students. Furthermore, when assessments are graded, where a student’s name and surname, for example, is identified as possible plagiarism/similarity, these are proactively excluded.  As you will note, our Academic Calendar also provides for a formal results appeal window where a student may inter alia apply for a remark of their assessment.  Should you wish to utilise this, please contact your support centre, which will assist you with making a formal appeal.  Each module also has a dedicated Educator and Academic Quality Manager who are here to answer any questions you may have. Should you experience any difficulty with any of the content and/or require assistance with any academic-related query, please do reach out and contact your Educator.
