Whole engine in parts without consent & overpriced
My fiance and I got a verbal quote for a headgasket and skimming for R4000 - R8000 for a 2004 Ford Fiesta 1.6 Ambiente. As it was reasonable, we towed the car to Bosch Alberton on 27 May 2015. After dropping the car off we received a call to say that there is a stripping fee of R2600 which we accepted due to low repair costs quoted.

We received a unreasonable quote last week for over R24 000+ and after chatting to Ford it was well overpriced. We decided to get another mechanic to do the repairs for us. I called Bosch Alberton on 6 June 2015 and advised them I am rejecting their quote and will send someone to collect the car.

On 9 June 2015 around 09:00 its with a shock that we discovered that the car engine was stripped completely! This is not as per our instructions. We now need to pay to assemble the WHOLE engine including our new R6000 waterpump. Bosch needs to pay the new mechanic to reassemble the engine at an additional cost for labour and parts due to their negligence.

I need R2600.23 refunded paid for stripping (not quoted in writing upfront as per the Consumer Protection Act) and Bosch to pay our new mechanic labour and parts any for any other missing parts.
