On the 26 November 2012 I purchased a Bosch battery from Diesel-Electric with a 2 year extended warranty as written on the battery.<br> <br> On the 16 January 2015, the battery failed to perform it's design intended duty due to a cell failure. On the same day I returned to Diesel-Electric to claim on my \extended warranty". I was informed by a Diesel Electric staff member that the battery is out of warranty because the warranty is \""upto\"" 2 years"

Hello CheckYourEthics,

Thank you for notifying us of your complaint regarding your battery purchase from Diesel Electric.
The extended warranty on the battery that you have purchased from Diesel Electric is only valid through the Diesel Electric network in the KZN region.
At the time of purchase,Bosch only offers a one year warranty on that particular battery there after Diesel Electric extended the warranty period.
